Hujan – the album is out.

Hujan's album is out now. I bought it yesterday at a local record shop. If im not mistaken, this album is distributed by FMC. A good way to sell your album, i think (and by that i meant by tie a deal with a major label for the distribution). it's RM25.90, which is a normal price (Seven Collar T-Shirt's cd also cost circa that). There's a lot of songs from their previous demo and only 2 new unheard-on-the-radio songs, Rantai Rasa & Dugaan Nya. But a few tracks are newly re-recorded, like Jiwa Kelajuan, Bila Aku Sudah Tiada, Luka Mana, etc.

Here's the track list.

- Dugaannya
- Jiwa Kelajuan
- Rantai Rasa
- Bila Aku Sudah Tiada
- Luka Mana
- Kuala Lumpur
- Ahmoi Chantek
- Pijak Hatiku
- Neon
- Ku Mahu Kau Tahu
- Aku Scandal
- Gundah
- Pagi Yang Gelap
- Empayarmu

Well, so far, I didnt enjoy it since almost all of the songs in the cd, I already owned it (from their previous demo). But if you're a fan or plain love the sound of Hujan, you'll love the album. Kutuk kutuk jugak, fuck fuck jugak, benci benci jugak, support je la. Dont hate the music. Hate the musician.

HAHAHAHAH SEMPAT LAGI NK MENGHASUT!

Peace!

p/s: If you buy the CD, or listen to their latest album, do check out "Luka Mana", cause I think the vocalist said "dine and dash" earlier on that number. That's one of Dailyshow's track title. haha?

Mom’s On Strike – Kuala Lumpur

From humble beginnings in our nation’s capital, Mom's On Strike have taken their fiery brand of punks meets indie around the country, tearing off heads and blowing out ear drums in the process. Their demo self-titled record and has garnered them many glowing reviews. They triumphantly return to the den of musical dreams, Spectrum, to headline Tomorrow Today.

Airholes (Brunei)

Check out Brunei's screamo band. For a moment, they sounded like our homegrown, Oh Chentaku. On 2nd thought, naaaaah. OCK sounds better, to me.

Midnight Youth (New Zealand)

Formed in early 2006, the band quickly gelled and wrote and recorded their first single Supernatural to critical acclaim. It topped the request shows on NZ music video stations C4 and Juice TV and led to the band receiving the Rock FM Scholarship to help them on their way to recording a follow-up song.

This came in the form of A New Day. The song was released at the beginning of April 2007 with the song making an immediate impact on television and radio. The track featured in C4's Top 40 for over a month and was nominated for 'Breakthrough Video of the Year' by Juice TV.

MY was selected by INXS as support for two of its New Zealand gigs in September of 2006. In fact, so impressed were they by MY's performance that they named the band one of the best supporting acts on the INXS Australasian tour.

The band scored another international opening slot in '07 with famed US band Ok Go before playing a part in the globally-covered vigil for World Aids Day in November of that year. They have also appeared on playbills with an array of Australasia's top acts such as Evermore, Opshop, Pluto and The Have.

2008 has started with bang for the young band, securing the opening slot for Incubus’ one-off Auckland show and they are set to begin recording their debut record in New York in April/May, which is set for release later in '08.

With Jeremy Redmore on vocals, Simon Oscroft on guitar, Matt Warman on bass and Aidan Bartlett on drums, Midnight Youth encompass the feeling of a rock band with well-crafted pop melodies and dancibility.

Seringai (Indonesia)

Early 2002, Jakarta, Indonesia. After a year disbanding his legendary hardcore outfit for 10 years, vocalist Arian13 [Puppen, Aparatmati] and old time friends, drummer Kemod [from Bandung thrash grinders, Aparatmati] and guitarist Ricky [from Jakarta's finest hardcore band, Stepforward] founded SERINGAI ['grin' in Indonesian]. Fueled by a desire to play a blend between Motorhead, Black Sabbath, hard rock & metal influences, they began to jam together after bassist Toan joined. SERINGAI was already in the habit of constantly writing songs, and playing small gigs in Jakarta and Bandung. Anthem songs like Alkohol [Alcohol] and Membakar Jakarta [Burning Jakarta], are the crowd's favorites. SERINGAI became more popular and the shows were beer-soaked and the sing along, slam dancing, stage diving never stops. Shortly thereafter, Toan left the band, and was replaced by Sammy. The band recorded 9 songs including a cover of Black Flag's Jealous Again, and released High Octane Rock EP in 2004 in tape format on their own label, Parau. Many shows in support of the tape, and without proper promotion they have sold about 12.000 copies of High Octane Rock EP. They even got offered to write songs for local movie soundtrack, teenage flick Catatan Akhir Sekolah and horror flick 12:00 AM. Their fanbase grows bigger, and named themselves 'serigala seringai' or, Seringai's wolfpack. In 2005, the CD version is released. Fortunately, the CD version was highly anticipated, and with different and exclusive artwork, it has sold 2000 copies in just 2 month. This time, the CD was distributed by Off The Records/Universal Music Indonesia

Kimono (Iceland)

Kimono is a progressive rock movement hailing from Reykjavik, Iceland and Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Their dark sound, some might say, is the result of short hours of daylight in places like Iceland and Nova Scotia.

However, there is a glitter of hope underlying in their songs, hope of better times best portrayed through the surrealistic lyrics of Alex MacNeil. They have sometimes been called “the guitar-player's dream” to see live, no doubt due to the weaving of layers of guitar lines by MacNeil and Gylfi Blöndal.

kimono was formed as a 4 piece rock band in 2001 by Gylfi Blöndal (guitar), Alex MacNeil (guitar and vocals), Kjartan Bragi Bjarnason (drums) and Halldór Örn Ragnarsson (bass). With this line-up they released their debut in 2003 (”Mineur Aggressif”), the critically acclaimed “Arctic Death Ship” in 2005 and the experimental “all music recorded” in 2007, the last one in collaboration with Icelandic producer Curver (of Ghostigital).

2007 saw the departure of Halldór from the band to pursue his art career. Since then the band has been recording a new album as a trio, with Gylfi switching from guitar to baritone guitar.

kimono took up residence in Berlin in 2005 and toured extensively around Germany, England, Ireland, Austria and Switzerland to follow up the release of “Arctic Death Ship” on the mainland. They garnered stellar reviews for both the album and their live shows from countless media and were written up as one of the 10 bands to watch in 2006 in Germany by the country's largest music publication, Intro.

The radio-single "Wire" (available here for streaming) was a hit in numerous Icelandic radio stations and it's the first teaser for the upcoming album.
