Bloodless – Official Music Video

Massacre Conspiracy “Bloodless” Music Video Teaser
Just gonna put it out there. This could well be the best Melodic Metalcore of 2011. Whether you agree with me or if your plaintive, stoic self begs to differ – 250 views in just over of hour can’t be wrong… right?
There’s no one formula for a good melodic metalcore, but this young lads has it nailed. The verse finds a nice space that ain’t too pizazz, nor too pedestrian, the progression bookmarking the chorus is god damn glorious.
Maybe it’s time melodic metalcore had a breath mint. Here’s proof that you don’t need librarian specs and a novelty haircut (perhaps not the novelty haircut) or a reality tv show ‘de-butt’ on your CV to earn some cred.
BTW they are MALAYSIAN. Could be our best export yet.
While I’m on the proposition warpath, I’ll just get to the point. I dig.
Kiss The Fallen

It starts with a grunt, and then a rally cry for redemption. The feeling of determination runs through the proverbial veins. Nothing can stop it. It drives along moving things out of the way with brute force if needed. Otherwise other things are stepping out of it’s way. It’s brow is furrowed at something which needs fixing, frustrated with how the world is all about and as such, let’s out a huge roar that shakes everything to its core and leaving everyone in a state of catatonic shock.
That’s what this song by Kiss The Fallen sounds like to me, and if this rapture business is all true, then I think there’d be nothing else more appropriate.
Forgive & Forget

Early bird catches the worm and the late bird… misses out on mad band hits.
Would normally give this a miss since it’s been covered extensively elsewhere, but the tune is A) fucking rad and B) the event are FREE.
Get into it.
Did I mention it was free? … and nothing tastes better than free. Catch ya there.
It’s a pretty good lineup, so if you’re around come out!
Corsets – Reset/Rewind

Baked in summer and fresh out of the oven, Corsets are sweet post hardcore darlings ready to explode into your hearts and minds. Reset/Rewind is a charming track, sweeping us all into winter with a dash of sunshine mixed amongst jumping guitars and rolling drums. Can’t wait to hear more from these guys.
Tres Empre – music video & single “Defiance”
Don’t be fooled – Tres Empre may sound like Momentos Musicales for string orchestra Music Project in name, but aurally they are nothing alike. This is rough, raw melodic rock from this great Ampang-but-soon-to-be-KL-bound band. And this is definitely one band that you can picture in Kuala Lumpur – they keep it “real” and “loose.”
Givenpath – Goodbye Juliet
This is gorgeous. I’d always written this band off as part of the East End prog rock scene that I’d lost interest in not long after I stopped smoking weed and realised that a lot of angel are militants in disguise with shit taste in music.
Sure, they might have started out in that scene, but they’re rising above it.
Their What You Believe is Yours To Decide EP is out through DIY on April 9th 2011.
