Hello , Is This The Band ? New Album Tracks

Everything is better when it’s free, that’s a scientific fact. The HITTB debut was probably going to be pretty good anyway, but by the aforementioned logic my appreciation for it has been heightened by roughly 20% since you can get your dirty mouse-clicking mits on that shit for free from our website right now. Yup. we’re calling May ‘Free Album Month’ or something, which would suggest that you have 31 days (well, only 18 now) to get a-downloading – but then maybe June will also be ‘Free Album Month,’ I haven’t asked. Don’t risk it, head over to HIITB to get in on this socialist cultural exchange.
The above songs are pulled from that debut, Ticking Boxes. ‘Weird Song’ is the opening number and gives a pretty good idea of what HIITB are about for the uninitiated. A mix of sparse, brooding, and upbeat sensibilities; simple guitar playing mixed with slightly-weak-but-in-a-cool-way vocals; a big chorus that never sounds too big thanks to the understated instrumentation.
If you like these tracks then you’ll probably like everything in between too. And when all it costs is a fraction of your time and download quote, why not hit it up?
Daarchlea Updates!

It had been more than 6 months since I had seen Daarchlea live and I can see that the boys have used this time wisely. The band as a whole has matured and so have their sound. The four song set from their live promo ‘Daarchlea’ interspersed with new songs that were quite refined. Daarchlea played with energy and determination and showed that they are a force to be reckoned with in the Malaysia music scene. It is not hard to imagine that the Daarchlea boys will soon be headlining big gigs both here in Malaysia and over east in the not too distant future.

The Padangs Album Launch
Local Metal / Hardcore / Alternative band The Padangs launch their debut album this July.
Recorded at One Bandshop Studios, the debut album is a product of a that has seen the band evolve with a refocused and refined sound; the tracks are a late-night blend of livewire drums and driving bass, punctuated by melodic guitar lines and impassioned vocals. The debut album displays a wide-screen flourish as evidenced between the melodic propulsion of ‘K2’, the sharp dark groove that is ‘Judas’, the sombre acoustic ‘Saunders St’ and the defiant optimism of live favourite ‘No Mercy’.
1 tracks from the debut album are now available at: http://www.myspace.com/thepadangs
An All Ages launch will follow on July at Dragonfly Club.
