Gegey Tour 2011 Announce
Read on… because here is the news that everyone has been waiting for! For our friends/enemy/fans/brother & sister in Negeri Sembilan, Johor, Perak, Penang, Kuantan, Terengganu, and Kota Bharu will be treated to the ‘Gegey Tour’ for the first time. Special guests at all shows will be announce soon.
Gegey Music collaboration with each state local label, as well as the hits off Flying Colours, an incredible new stage and production set-up, and a legion of fans that have been holding their breath for this very announcement – this tour is destined to become one that the lucky attendees will be reminiscing about for years to come.
Now it’s time for the live show to head over to all around Malaysia, to give fans a taste of the gritty mayhem that is Gegey Tour, up close and personal.
Don’t be surprised if we bring more exciting news over the coming months including performers and production highlights.

Happenings are at the Attack!Attack!studio on Saturday the 5th of March @ 2pm and features the following rad artists who are just a few of the homegrown produce included that has made our scene what it is today.

An Island Screening at Attack!Attack!studio , Kota Bharu.
We're hosting a screening. Vincent Moon's new film An Island has Efterklang's 8-piece band performing new interpretations of their songs from their latest album with 200 local musicians, kids and parents off the Danish coast.
If you don't know who Vincent Moon is, you'll definitely know his work with Protein fam La Blogoteque, the Paris-based webzine/blog that we work with. Every week an artist or band is invited to play on Moon's project The Takeaway Shows, La Blogoteque's first video podcasts where live sessions are held on the street/in an elevator/whatever-space-available ... encouraging spontaneity makes for awesome watching.
So, 9th March at Attack!Attack!studio we'll be showing An Island and we'd love for you to join us. Let us know you're coming at RSVP. Screening starts at 8pm, see you then.

Kota Bharu! I am so so so excited to announce that at 8pm on March 9th we will be hosting a FREE screening of “An Island”, the highly anticipated new film from Efterklang and Vincent Moon.

1. Vincent Moon is the Parisian filmmaker behind Le Blogotheque’s now infamous “Take Away Shows”. He is a genius.

“August 2010, French filmmaker Vincent Moon and Efterklang’s 8 piece-live band met up on an island in the Danish country side. The objective was to shoot a film. A film with the same length as an album, and a film full of performances, experiments and collaborations.
Over an intense period of 4 days Efterklang collaborated with more than 200 local musicians, kids and parents, creating new performances and interpretations of songs from their Magic Chairs album. It was all filmed by Vincent Moon who same time conducted several filmic and musical experiments with Efterklang as his dedicated play mates.”

Anamys Affair!
One of the bands playing the UPSTART show yesterday , is sextet Alternative Rock kids Anamys Affair. Fresh from their appearance at Attack!Attack!studio, Anamys Affair are combining forces with Joanna Joe , The Duplex and 199x. Sure, there are a lot of dreadful covers bands and a few originals bands that are inexplicably worse, but there is some cool quirky stuff going on.
So far the band have released two mighty impressive live records,can download FOR FREE!!!
Did I mention it was free? … and nothing tastes better than free. Catch ya there.

Gomogie is proud to present the Raya Jamm.To commemorate this event, Gomogie is hosting a mini-jamm at Attack! Attack! studio on Tuesday, 14th of September 2010, featuring a line-up of local bands featured in the series. Appearing on stage will be improvisational drone musicians Cease, the heavy psychedelic sounds of Givenpath, and the dark dramatic music of Horryfied.
