I know it’s crazy for us to NOT announce the farewell party for Electic Dreams , and we have lots of lame excuses to offer. Nothing would hold up to close scrutiny though, so we would like to offer our apologies to those who didn’t know about it. We’re sorry!

Anyway , we had a good time last night , with a lot of good people turning up and bands playing acoustic.Excellent Mee Hoon Goreng courtesy of Gegey Family , good live music from Psychomoto Echo Beat and of course , our friend from “Ipoh” , much love - Mohd Jayzuan.

Thanks to all who took time out and joined us last night.We really appreciate it!

Dear friends of Attack!Attack! studio, you may heard that we will held an event on this coming 24th June 2009. For your information this is maybe our last Electic Dreams event that we will ever held at the studio. This is reality but this doesn’t mean that we’re giving up, NO! We will find a better different place to continue the legacy of this event, which we will announce soon.

The Attack!Attack! studio will be in renovation mode soon; to upgrade to a better place to jam and to add up another studio room for high-end equipment set. Maybe, juuuuussttttt maybe, the studio will be on hiatus mode for a certain period of time (which won’t be that long) so that we have the time to re-manage & re-construct the studio.

Anyway, this Wednesday is going to be the last Electic Dreams show at  Attack!Attack! studio and it ain’t a farewell without a “farewell party. So come and join us! Bring foods, drinks, cameras, masquerades, anything! (no drugs & alcohol, please)

This coming Wednesday, the might-be legendary Mohd Jayzuan will pay Kota Bharu a visit, for his novel/book launch tour. There will be an acoustic performances by the man himself and Kota Bharu’s Psychomoto Echo Beat.

Do come if you have the time. Free admission. Wednesday, June 24th. Attack! Attack! Studio, 9pm. Please wear proper attire. We might snap a few photos if you’re good looking.

MATEMATIK

Jangan risau, anda tidak perlu memerah otak atau menekan kalkulator untuk mendengar hasil karya daripada MATEMATIK, sekumpulan pemuzik muda yang baru sahaja mengeluarkan EP sulung mereka bertajuk BRING ME THE LIGHT. Setelah sekian lama terperap di dalam pemain cakera, akhirnya butang play berjaya ditekan dan otak mula gatal untuk membuat sedikit ulasan.

EP ini mengandungi 5 lagu yang bertajuk ‘bintang’, ‘bring me the light’, ‘dansa di angkasa’, ‘kiss kiss’ dan ‘2-1′. Pemuzik luar turut diundangkan untuk memeriahkan lagi bunyi-bunyian dalam lagu mereka. Dirakamkan pada tahun 2008 dan mula diedarkan kepada peminat pada 25 April 2009. Pada mula cakera dimainkan, perasaan seolah mendengar lagu Berhenti Berharap (Sheila On 7) mula timbul. Tetapi, ternyata jangkaan meleset selepas beberapa saat lagu berkumandang dengan munculnya bunyi bass dan gitar. Lagu suaikenal ini boleh dikatakan agak killer dengan rentak yang rancak dan addictive. Kepala sedikit terangguk-angguk, mulut mula terkumat-kamit untuk cuba sing-along setelah mendengarnya untuk beberapa kali. Untuk lagu ke-2, perasaan mula berubah ke arah lebih dance-ish ditambah dengan suara latar yang kedengaran seolah mengejek ajak bertumbuk. Lagu seterusnya semakin menunjukkan peningkatan dari segi keagresifan dengan sedikit bau gedik. Agak seksi disitu. Lenggok nyanyian dan suara latar mengingatkan kepada The Upstairs (indonesia). Untuk lagu ke-4, anda patut dengar intro dan rentaknya. Pasti menimbulkan sedikit kerut di dahi anda. Lagu penutup mereka benar-benar memberi rasa ingin ‘lepas geram’ dan peluk teman wanita sendiri sekuat hati. Selebihnya, biarlah anda imaginasikan sendiri.

Secara keseluruhan, ianya merupakan pengalaman yang agak menarik cuma mungkin boleh diperhebatkan lagi dinamiknya. Kualiti bunyi yang dihasilkan oleh Ojoe si jurutera bunyi memang boleh ditabik. Lagu mereka boleh dikatakan catchy dengan sedikit rasa dance dan rock. Psychedelic! Cuba dengar kesemua lagu tanpa pra-penghakiman dan buat keputusan anda sendiri.
